I missed this roboguy what was their story?

his story is he found caira right after she woke up from cryo sleep and he decided to help her and be a sort of guide for her in this new world she found herself in, this was all before i completely reworked everything into what i'm slowly writing now of course. i have a very soft spot for this sort of helper/gentle giant character archetype, bonus points if they have a creepy or eerie vibe, it's like a trope i keep falling back on and will never get tired of. this character specifically doesn't quite fit into what i'm currently developing but i still kinda want him to make an appearance, just without such a vital main role in the story. he was there from the beginning and it'd be a waste of a design if i didn't use him :P one i'm still quite fond of

Omg you're so right hahaha i'd love lie and say i planned that from the start as a sort of sci-fi alien version of one but nope. Maybe i noticed the similarity subconsciously and that's why i did rain for background later on!

The lighting and background is AMAZING! Youve gotten really good at the backgrounds considering you only started focusing more on them recently, if i recall right. This one looks like those painterly abstracted oil paintings that still give very strong impression of lighting

Thanks! Yeah only pretty recently i've been doing them consistently and honestly that's the key to doing things it seems, because i find myself wanting to do them more and more haha
